A Checkbox can be checked on or off by the user in the published form.

If you want some text to display in the control by default, enter that text in the Text in the Field box on the Properties tab.

You can make the control read-only and make the control appear grayed out by setting the Read Only option to Yes.

If the control does not already have a label, you can add a label to it by selecting Label > Left or Label > Top.

You can edit the appearance of the control from the Styles tab and you can add Actions involving the control from the Actions tab.
